House Manual

WiFi: Look for the “CrossCreek-306-private” wireless network name. The password is Moose306.

Heat: Please be kind to the environment and set the heat to 65 degrees when you are not in the condo.  Most residences in Frisco don’t have AC and that includes us.  On warmer summer nights crack open the upstairs windows and enjoy the rushing sound of the creek.

Fireplace: Firewood is available at the back of the complex near the recycling and dumpsters.  It is located in a roughly 12’-10’ shed.  You should have received the code for the lock by email and text already.  My perenal favorite is to purchase Duraflame as it burns neatly and with less smoke.  Duraflame logs can also be purchased at Safeway, Walmart, and hardware stores.

***In order to avoid an extra cleaning fee, please scoop the ashes into the provided fire can when you are finished.  When they are fully cooled they can be disposed of in the dumpster at the end of the parking lot.

Door Locks: The doors with the keypads are designed to automatically lock when closed. Both the door from the garage to the condo and the front door have the same code.  The code for the overhead garage door is 1106.

TV: There is only one remote per TV for each of the 3 TVs. Google TV provides live TV broadcasts via youtube live.. At the “home” screen, select “Live” from the tabs at the top.

Blankets and Pillows: You should find a set of sheets, pillows, and comforters on each of the beds.  Extra blankets and throws are available in multiple spots throughout the condo for a little added warmth.

First Aid Kit: Can be found under the kitchen sink.

Fire Extinguisher: Under the kitchen sink &  under the master bathroom sink.

Quiet Hours: are 11 pm-7 am. Please keep this in mind during your stay.

Kitchen: There should be lots of tableware, drinkware, and silverware for your needs plus all the appliances and extras you would expect in a vacation home. If I have neglected to think of or provide something in the kitchen that you were expecting, please let me know - I always want to make my guests very comfortable.

Trash: the dumpster is located at the end of the parking lot.  (Go out the front door and turn left)

BBQ grill: The propane grill just outside the backdoor is yours to enjoy.  Please note that charcoal grills are prohibited by stage 2 fire precautions, which are pretty common nowadays in the summer.

Things to do:  There is SO MUCH  to do in Frisco that it would be impossible to list them all here.  But here are a few ideas beyond the amazing skiing, world-class hiking, and downtown visiting that you might enjoy:

  • Winter: Take a sleigh ride.  Check out gobreck.com for local operators

  • Winter: Go tubing or sledding.

  • Winter: Check out ice skating, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, dog sledding, snowmobiling, fat biking, and scenic snowcat tours

  • Winter: There are several world class ski resorts nearby — guessing that isn’t news to you though.

  • Summer: Go Mountain Biking.

    • Keystone and Copper both offer bike rentals and then will haul your bike up the mountain so you can ride down.  So fun!

    • Plus there are bike trails all over Summit County that don’t require a chair lift.  You can rent from a number of local bike rental shops and use the trail system around Summit County to take you around the lake or other beautiful areas.

  • Summer: Ride the mountain coasters, and play at the outdoor playgrounds that offer rock climbing, bungee jumping, zip-lining, bumper boats, disc golf, go-karts, and horse-drawn carriage rides at the various mountain resorts.

  • The Betty Ford Alpine Flower garden down in Vail is worth a visit.  Go for a visit and grab some lunch - a great little outing.

Checkout Procedures

We hope you have enjoyed your stay at our home.

Please note that checkout time is at 10am on the date of checkout.

Before you leave, we just ask a couple of favors to help our housekeepers prepare for our next guests.

  1. Please load all dishes into the dishwasher and start it running on the normal cycle.  (This is really, really helpful for our housekeeping crew.  Thank you in advance!)

  2. Please turn the heat down to 65º F in the winter.

  3. Please close all windows.

  4. As you leave, please text 419-217-9593 indicating that you are departing “Check out Moose”.  This is extremely helpful to our very busy cleaning crews.
